Does your service have a data cap?

No, our service has unlimited usage. No data caps, No throttling.

Do I need telephone service for your service to work?

No. BartNet IP is a broadband / always on service that works independent of phone lines and/or cable lines. The only requirement for our service is the equipment you buy at time of install.

Do I get television service with your dish?

No. BartNet IP supplies internet data only. It looks similar to a satellite but does not operate as one.

Do you offer phone service?

No. We focus on building and supporting the best IP network service available to rural areas of Green Country. Since there are a number of companies offering IP / Internet based phone service we simply try to insure those services work on our network.

How much does a site survey cost?

Nothing. BartNet IP provides the site survey service at no cost to you.

My BartNet IP internet service is slow/not working.

BartNet IP Troubleshooting

  • Check the status of the POE Power Supply. If your power supply is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, make sure the switch is on.
    • If the green light is off, your power supply is bad, and you will need to replace it.
    • If the green light is on, power cycle by unplugging, waiting 25 seconds, then plug back in.

  • If your POE is plugged directly into computer, restart computer.
  • If your POE is plugged into a router:
    • Check the status of the router.
    • If no lights are on, make sure router is plugged in and power is on.
    • If lights are on, make sure the “To Computer” end, the “10/100Mbit Data” side, or the “Gigabit Data” side of your POE (depending on which POE power supply you have) is plugged into the internet port of the router.
    • Power cycle router by unplugging the power cord, waiting 25 seconds, then plug back in.
    • Make sure the wireless has not be turned off. (some routers have a button that turns the wireless on or off)

  • If your internet still is not working, try bypassing your router by plugging the “To Computer” end, the “10/100Mbit Data” side, or the “Gigabit Data” side of your POE directly into your computer.
    • If your internet works now, then your router is probably bad.
  • If you are still having issues with your internet, you can check the status of your Radio, go to your Web Browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) type the IP address 10.99.99.1 into the Address Bar (not the Search Bar, which will show the name of your search engine such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.) This IP address will not work if you are assigned a Static IP address. 
    (ePMP only- User name: readonly   Password: readonly)

You should now see a screen where the following information (and a little more) is available:

If this screen does not appear, either your POE power supply is bad, or there’s an issue with your CAT5 cable connection.

  • Check your Power Level. Power level is measured in –dBm and you want this number to be as close to 0 as possible. Thus -65 is a better signal than -80. The radio will start dropping the signal (losing internet) at some point near -80. Your radio may need to be realigned, or you may have trees that are blocking your line of sight.
  • If it shows “N/A” or “Scanning” by the Registered AP, then your radio is most likely out of alignment, or you may have trees blocking your line of sight.
  • If you are still having issues with slow internet after power cycling your POE and router (all lights are on and they seem to be working properly), and your power level is fine; then you may have malware on your computer. We have links for Anti-malware software on our Helpful Links page that you can download to help clean up and protect your computer. You should also check your CPU usage to see if you have programs running that are slowing down your computer.
    • ePMP equipment has a “Throughput Chart” so you can see your actual bandwidth usage in real time. Once logged in to the radio, click on the box “Throughput Chart”
  • If you are not able to resolve the problem, please call the office 918-333-2208 to schedule a service call.

How do I check my CPU usage and kill processes that are slowing down my computer?

  • Open Task Manager Ctrl+Shift+Esc
  • Or right Click on Task Bar at the bottom of screen, Click Start Task Manager

    What are your email settings?

    Before you begin, you will need the following information:

    How do I set up my BartNet Email on my Kindle Fire?

    Before you begin, you will need the following information:

    1. Power on your Kindle, then go to your apps and look for the Email icon. Click on the email icon (which looks like an envelope with a letter sticking out of it) to start the set up process.

    2. If you are setting it up for the first time, then you will be requested to type in the email address of the account you’re trying to set up. If there is an account already setup, then you will be launching the email application. Type in the email address, then click on the NEXT button or DONE button.

    3. You will then need to type in the email password. Click NEXT to proceed.

    4. The next step in adding an account will require you to determine if you’re using a POP3, IMAP or Exchange account. If you’re using email from your BartNet account then you should choose POP3 or IMAP.

    5. Immediately below where you have chosen POP3 or IMAP you will see the blank field for the name of the server. Type in the name of the incoming mail server.

    6. Click NEXT in order to proceed. Note that you may see a screen that shows a message that states “Checking server settings…”. You can click on the CANCEL button to cancel the check at this point.

    7. Click on NEXT to advance through the different settings for the email account. The next blank is SERVER FOLDER. You can leave this entry blank. If you click NEXT again, you will be filling in the SMTP server setting under Outgoing Server settings.

    8. When you are on the Outgoing Server Settings screen, there is a section labeled Security Settings and Ports. Click on this section to open the screen. Email settings generally come in two forms – secured and non-secured. By default, the secure settings are checked. BartNet emails do not require SSL, so you should uncheck this box.

    9. When you have completed choosing your Security settings, click on SAVE.

    Once the settings are saved the tablet will attempt to connect to the email server to confirm your settings. you’ll see the “Setup complete!” screen. You can also add another email account at this point.

    How do I set up my BartNet Email in Outlook?

    Before you begin, you will need the following information:

    What are your DNS server addresses?

    BartNet IP operates two DNS servers within our network to speed recursive DNS queries from our network. These two servers are:

    Billing

    Do you have paperless billing?

    Yes. To enroll in paperless billing, click on the Contact Us Tab and send an e-mail to “Billing.” Provide your Name, CPNI, Account #, Service Address, Phone #, and the Email Address that you would like your bill sent to each month.

    When is my bill due?

    All bills are sent on the 1st of each month and are due by the 10th of the month to avoid possible service interruption and/or late fees.

    Can I pay my bill online?

    No, we do not currently offer the ability to pay your bill online. We can set up automatic payments to come off of your debit/credit card. If you have any further questions about billing please contact our office manager.
